LAHORE:

Lahore High Court issued show cause notices on Wednesday to the MD and GM of Pakistan Electric Power Company and the Lahore Electric Supply Company chief.

They are accused of submitting an unsatisfactory reply over the transfer of an executive engineer in violation of a court order. The notices were issued on a contempt plea by XEN Altaf who said the court had issued a stay against his transfer from the Lesco.

However, he had been transferred him in violation of the court’s orders. He requested the LHC to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondents.

The respondents had submitted replies on the petition, however, the court observed that the replies were vague and unsatisfactory.
