Speaking in Sindh Assembly on Tuesday, the minister said not only in Karachi but the development work is in progress in the whole province and most of the projects were completed in eight to 10 districts while the remaining would be finished soon.
He said the provincial government deputed competent officers in the local bodies and they are doing their best. However, he noted that 100% result could not be achieved although improvement can be noticed by everyone.
An experienced administrator is posted in Hyderabad while commissioner and deputy commissioners were also appointed to serve the city, he said.
According to him the government is going to outsource the cleanliness work of the city and an American company is under consideration for lifting the garbage from the metropolis, adding that some other companies are also being considered for the job.
The minister stated that the Solid Waste Management Board would start functioning from September.
He pointed out that 1,000 water tankers are being distributed in the provincial capital from Monday and deputy commissioners were deputed on the demand of the opposition parties as in-charge for the distribution.
While quashing the allegation, he said his son is the owner of Salar House in Tharparkar and it was built when he was not the minister.
He warned TV anchors not to attack his personal life and avoid levelling false accusations against him otherwise he will file a defamation case against them and then they would be in hot water. Sharjeel advised anchor persons not to blame him without having any proof.
