ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chief Commissioner Zulfiqar Haider Khan on Tuesday reviewed security, parking and traffic arrangements for the three day urs celebrations of Hazrat Bari Imam starting from May 28. While chairing a meeting of the sub-committee for development and management of the shrine, he directed officials to ensure foolproof arrangements and the ‘best’ facilities to the devotees. All arrangements were reviewed in detail including water supply, lighting, standby generators, medical facilities, toilets, sanitation, solid waste disposal and fire brigade availability. The meeting was informed that CCTV cameras would be installed and a control room established at the site where representatives of all relevant departments would be present to monitor activities round the clock. Walk-through gates and metal detectors would be used for checking at the entry points. Besides, a heavy police contingent including special branch officials and civil defence volunteers would also be deployed at the venue.
