Online learning: AIOU, American varsity hold academic session

They hoped the partnership will enable students of both universities to work together

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and San Jose State University California on Tuesday held a joint academic session through online video conferencing.


Academicians and students from both sides discussed communication advantages and barriers in the development of a global society. They were of the view that the knowledge gap could be narrowed down through online international learning system.


They underlined the need of promoting collaborative online international learning for breaking cultural and sociological barriers and translating the concept of global village into reality. The online learning session chaired by AIOU Department of Mass Communication Chairman Dr Abdul Siraj was participated by academicians from both varsities.


They hoped the partnership will enable students of both universities to work together and make connections that will last a lifetime. It was also noted that the partnership improved distance education for students at both universities by improving teaching methods and providing faculty exchanges.
