Shooting of Asadul Haq’s ‘Dekh Magar Pyaar Say’ comes to an end

KARACHI: Few films in Pakistan can claim to having been shot and released in the same year. Last year, Na Maloom Afraad became the first Pakistani film of the new-age cinema to have done so, and now Asad-ul-Haq’s directorial debut Dekh Magar Pyaar Say (DMPS), is set to follow in its footsteps.

Shiny Toy Guns, the production house behind DMPS, recently finished filming their debut feature length film starring Humaima Malick and Sikander Mirza. Shot over the course of 45 days in Lahore, the movie has been filmed at some of the most scenic locations and memorable landmarks.

Humaima Malick, the female lead in the movie while sharing her experience of working in the movie told The Express Tribune, “To make a movie at par with international films in 45 days is a great achievement and credit goes to the efforts put in by the entire team.”

The Raja Natwarlal actor added, “The experience has been absolutely invigorating for me as an actor. My styling down to each dialogue, everything received so much care and attention that I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

Sikander Mirza, who would be making his film debut with the movie, said that although working on a project for 45 days can be a demanding experience, it was made memorable by the “professionalism, teamwork and above all the friendship established during this time.”

Dekh Magar Pyaar Say which is a romantic-comedy is slated to release in August 2015.
