Damages suit: Reply sought from furniture vendor

Asad stated that furniture purchased for Rs150,000 from Akram had developed cracks in two months

LAHORE: A consumer court issued a notice to a proprietor on Monday for allegedly selling defective furniture. Petitioner Muhammad Asad has filed a suit seeking Rs300,000 damages from Muhammad Akram, who has a furniture shop in Santnagar. Asad stated that furniture purchased for Rs150,000 from Akram had developed cracks in two months. “He refused to replace the furniture,” he said.
