Mirza had manhandled security personnel deployed at the police station for trying to arrest and registering an FIR against his aide. He had reportedly stormed it along with his supporters, abused the officials and damaged furniture for filing a case against Nadeem Mughal.

He and his companions were barred from entering the premises for chanting slogans outside the court.
“Sindh police officials have been assigned to target me,” Mirza said before appearing at ATC 1.
On May 9, ATC approved Mirza's bail until May 19 in three cases - registered against him following the ransacking - for the sum of Rs100,000.
At least 300 police personnel were reportedly deployed around the vicinity of the court.
A dozen lawyers and a crowd of supporters carrying the national flag also accompanied Mirza.
