Murder: Court sentences convict to life

Ali was awarded life imprisonment and fined Rs500,000

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Asghar Khan awarded life imprisonment to a murder convict and acquitted two suspects on Friday. Sadaqat Ali, accused of murdering Zulfiqar over property in Green Town, was awarded life imprisonment and fined Rs500,000.  In case of non-payment, Ali will undergo another year’s imprisonment. The judge acquitted Liaquat and Shafaqat giving them benefit of doubt. The murder case had been registered with Green Town police.
