KARACHI: The Sindh High Court called reports from the Rangers DG and others on a petition against the detention on Moazzam Ali Khan, the alleged financer of the killers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Imran Farooq. Headed by Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh, the bench asked them to file comments by May 21. Khan’s wife, Sadia Bano, alleged that the Rangers had arrested him during a raid at their house in Federal B Area’s Block 8 in the early hours of April 12, also taking away his laptop and other belongings. She stated that the family contacted the area police but they refused to divulge any information about the whereabouts of the detainee. Bano requested the court to direct the Rangers, police and home authorities to produce Khan in court along with details of the cases, if any, made against him.
