BANNU: Security forces on Friday arrested two suspected terrorists in Bannu, while they were trying to set up a bomb under a bridge, Express News reported. 

According to initial reports, the suspects who were aiming to spread terror in the country were residents of Afghanistan and Khyber Agency.

Upon their arrival at the site, the officials managed to not only arrest the suspects but also took into custody a large quantity of explosives along with a remote control, ball-bearings and weapons.

Earlier this year, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants were apprehended in the same area.

Search operations and raids are being conducted nationwide in attempts to eradicate terrorism.
