LAHORE:

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court referred a petition, filed by former LHC judge, to the LHC chief justice to constitute a larger bench to hear the matter.

Judge (retd) Muhammad Arshad Jahangir filed a petition seeking his pension. His counsel said he was appointed a judge of the LHC in 2004 and served for three years. He was appointed a judge of the Federal Shariat Court for two years. He then served as head of the Punjab Service Tribunal. “Despite his eight years of service, he is not being paid the pension as of an LHC judge,” the counsel said.
