NEW DELHI:
In the space of just one week, the Indian government did a drastic 180-degree turn with the home ministry telling parliamentarians on Monday that it has credible information about the notorious underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, claiming that he is in Pakistan and India “will not rest until” it brings him back. “Whether we have to pursue Pakistan or put pressure, we will not rest until we get Dawood Ibrahim back,” said Home Minister Rajnath Singh while speaking on the floor of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of parliament. Last week, the minister of state for home, Singh’s deputy, Haribhai Chaudhury had told the house that the Indian government had no idea where Dawood is.
