Foreign assistance vital for water sector

LAHORE:
In addition to utilising local resources, financial assistance by various foreign institutions, the World Bank in particular, is also vital for development of water sector in Pakistan, Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman Shakil Durrani said.
He was addressing a five-member World Bank delegation at the Wapda House on Friday. The delegation, headed by Country Director Rachid Benmassaoud, discussed various matters related to water sector development.
