The TMA administrator has ordered an inquiry into the death.
Tehsil municipal administration (TMA) work-charge employee Inamullah, a resident of Shakuraabad Colony, was posted at Norangabad sewage treatment plant.
“At around 11am, the well started flooding. Inamullah tried to save the water motors installed there. However, he fainted from inhaling the vapours and fell into the well,” Rescue 11222 officials said.
Rescue 1122 drained the well four hours later and fished out the body.
The TMA administrator has ordered an inquiry into the death.
