LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Naseerabad SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking the registration of a case against her parents, whom she accused of forcing her to divorce her husband. Nomi Bibi said she had married Shahbaz Masih and had a happy marriage with him but her parents Bashir Masih and Nasreen Bibi wanted to marry her off to another man and were now threatening her with dire consequences if she didn’t divorce her husband. She said Naseerabad police had yet to register a case against her parents on her complaint.
