What Ban?: Rs20m released for vehicles

PESHAWAR: The elementary and secondary education department has released Rs20 million to provide 50 officials with cars, despite a ban on the purchase of new vehicles by the government.  The summary for a Suzuki Mehran has also been sent for approval. The vehicle is being acquired for an SDO. According to a finance department official, the officers for whom the vehicles are being acquired include 11 DEOs and 14 DDOs.
