RAWALPINDI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari failed to appear before an accountability court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday due to food poisoning, Express News reported.

Zardari was scheduled to attend the hearing of 2001 assets reference against him, however, his counsel Farooq H Naek requested the court for exemption because his client was not feeling well.

The reference is one of the six cases established by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Zardari for his alleged financial corruptions. On April 17, the court had reopened the case and issued a notice to the former president.

Naek said Zardari has been vomiting continuously and requested the court to excuse him from attending the hearing. In response, Justice Khalid Mehmood Ranjha adjourned the hearing of the case till May 13.

Besides this reference, Zardari is also named in SGS and Contecna references.

Demolition Woman | 9 years ago | Reply Most likely scenarios for May 13: Mr Zardari has not fully recovered from his food poisoning, Mr Zardari has unexpected complications from his initial ailment and is under close medical observation, or most likely: he needs urgent treatment overseas !

AAZ got exemption from appearing in UK court due to mental problem - certificate submitted by his UK lawyers, so we had a President who had mental problem, while he was in prefect mental condition to get elected by his insane / mad supporters only to make money left, right & center during his party PPP 5 years rule with total disregard to performance & governance issue which led to its party being rejected in 2013.
