Appointment: 10 names proposed for LHC judges
The sanctioned number of judges at the court is 60
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief justice Manzoor A Malik on Saturday forwarded 10 names to the judicial commission for their appointment as LHC judges. Those proposed to be elevated were District and Sessions Judges Sardar Ahmed Naeem and Mushtaq Ahmed Tarar, Additional Advocate General Shahid Mubeen and Advocates Shahran Sarwar Chaudhry, Irma Sajad Gull, Shahid Mehmood Shaikh, Farrukh Gulzar, Sarfraz Dogar, Aslam Javed and Shahid Mehmood Abbasi. The number of LHC judges will rise to 59 if the commission appoints all 10. The sanctioned number of judges at the court is 60.
