Malicious rumours?: ‘Messages, chalkings are defaming MQM’

KARACHI: Malicious SMS messages are being sent and wall chalkings being done in order to damage the reputation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the party’s Coordination Committee said in a press release issued on Friday. Condemning such activities, the committee appealed to people to inform them, the party office-bearers, the police and other law enforcement agencies about the provocative messages. Urging people not to pay heed to the ‘disinformation campaign’ against the MQM, the statement claimed that political and religious parties were spreading malicious rumours in order to cause political damage to the MQM.
