Child rights: Activists call for implementation
The participants praised the Sindh government for passing the law that prevents child marriages
HYDERABAD:
Child rights advocates have called for the establishment of a provincial-level institution to monitor child rights, the implementation of free education and the enforcement of the Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Act. Dozens of activists belonging to the Child Rights Movement and Devcon held a rally in Dadu on Tuesday to make their demands heard. The participants praised the Sindh government for passing the law that prevents child marriages but decried the lack of enforcement, even after a year of the law's passage.
