QUETTA: All transporters’ unions in Balochistan have formed a united front against the provincial government’s resolve to move the bus terminals outside Quetta city. Thousands of vehicles and a huge number of passengers remained stranded on roads across the province. “Women, children and patients are among the passengers trapped on the highway for hours now,” said Safiullah, a resident of Mastung district. A spokesperson for Balochistan government, Jan Buledi said the government would not withdraw its decision. Transporters are creating serious problems for thousands of people. “The roads and highways will be cleared by tomorrow because we have issued the last warning tonight that the government will not bow to any pressure tactics or blackmail,” he said.
