Cantt polls: Voters’ list handed over to Peshawar RO

A total of 6,060 voters will exercise their right to vote this Saturday

The Election Commission has handed over voters’ list to Peshawar Cantonment Returning Officer (RO) for polls scheduled for April 25. According to the list, 29,764 voters, including 13,740 women, are registered with Peshawar Cantonment.


A total of 6,060 voters in Ward-I; 4,593 in Ward-II; 5,498 in Ward-III; 7,072 in Ward-IV; and 6,541 voters in Ward-V will exercise their right to vote this Saturday. They will be electing councillors for all five wards of Peshawar Cantt.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Asad, the spokesperson for Peshawar RO Muhammad Saleem Hassan Wattoo, expected a high voter turnout in the upcoming elections. Polls will also be conducted in cantonments of Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, DI Khan, Mardan and Havelian on the same day.
