DUBAI: The world’s largest indoor dog park has opened in Dubai to offer both daycare and boarding facilities to the pet owners.

Since the launch of the park, My Second Home, around 40 residential luxury rooms have already been booked for the summer. The park has the capacity to accommodate 90 dogs and has 200 rooms altogether.

My Second Home co-founder Vaughn Pillay said the dogs crave interaction and freedom to play.

“But there are so many restrictions and so few places to play when they’re not at home with us. Thankfully, there are some excellent facilities in Dubai, but we felt we needed to go a step further and create a world-class environment that focuses on providing our best friends’ most essential need - space to have fun, learn and interact safely,” he added.

The dog lovers are also given the option to have the rooms customised for their pets. This could include installing flat screen TVs and keeping favourite toys.

My Second Home has webcams installed in its premises as well, helping pet owners to keep themselves abreast of what their dogs are doing at the park when they are unavailable.

Besides pet food, My Second Home has a first aid officer available at all times. A group of experienced trainers and behaviour experts is also present to help fulfill the needs of the dogs.
