The prime minister also took Sharif in confidence over the formation of the judicial commission. The other issues taken up by both sides included the overall political situation in the country and the security situation in Punjab.
The two leaders also discussed the energy conservation measures taken by the government to reduce the demand and supply gap.
Other coalition partners and the opposition were also asked to nominate members for the judicial commission.
