Life-saving techniques: PRCS concludes first-aid training

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Red Cross Society in Fata concluded a two-day training on first aid for people in Jamrud, Khyber Agency and FR Peshawar at its regional headquarters in Peshawar. “Sometimes first aid can be very effective as [a standalone treatment]as it requires very little or no equipment but can save lives,” said the first-aid coordinator at PRCS FATA, Dr Pervaiz Khan, on the occasion on Friday.

“First aid is more than a technique since it is also an essential expression of solidarity that protects and saves lives.” PRCS FATA Chairman Ikramullah Jan Kokikhel who was also present at the closing ceremony said, “We are contributing to the resilience of communities in Fata and their ability to cope with crisis situations by imparting knowledge on first aid.”
