Pakistani flag at separatist rallies will not be tolerated: Indian Kashmir CM

Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's statement comes after Indian home minister called for "immediate and stringent" action

Indian administered Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed slammed on Thursday Pakistani flags waved at a rally, calling it an illegal act which will not be tolerated.

Mufti Sayeed’s statement came a day after Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam waved the Pakistani flag to greet Kashmiri separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani at a rally in Srinagar.

Hours after the rally on Wednesday, Mufti Sayeed received a phone call from Home Minister Rajnath Singh calling for "immediate and stringent" action, according to NDTV.

"There can be no compromise on national security. Politics cannot impinge on national security," the home minister reportedly told Sayeed.

An FIR was registered but so far no arrests have been made.

"The law will take its own course, we can't ignore law," the chief minister said.

However, a member of his People's Democratic Party (PDP) asserted separatists cannot be denied of democratic space.

"Separatism and Pakistan constituency in Kashmir is a reality and we have to deal with it. We can't deny democratic space to these people. It is an ideological battle now. We have to make them mainstream by giving them democratic space," said PDP's youth president and spokesperson Wahid Rehman Parra.

47-year-old Alam is a likely successor to Geelani. He was released from prison after four years on March 7.

India reacted furiously following the show of support for Pakistan at the Srinagar rally.

National Spokesperson Bharatiya Janata Party GVL Narasimha Rao said the act was completely unacceptable.

“We expect the state government of Jammu and Kashmir, headed by Mufti Saeed, to take cognizance of the matter,” Rao added.

As opposition parties attacked the BJP-led central government over Masarat Alam's release, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in the Lok Sabha, "I also lend my voice to the outrage on the release of the separatist... this is not one party's outrage, it is the nation's outrage."

Not even the superior military of the US could protect your country. Indra gandhi inspite of being a congress backed PM was quite a daredevil Today we have a similar personality Modi, whose past record reflects the same aggression as one could see of Indra gandhi. These people are both a bane and sometimes a boon to their respective country, that fine line between sanity and insanity is crossed most often by such kind. Your country is well advised not to irritate the current PM of India, otherwise consequences can be so harsh, that I'd be folly to underestimate, If you think even for a while that India would allow TNW's based slaughter of Indian soldiers as a reaction of forward policy initiated when initiated by the government, then think again, I have studied several prominent leaders in the past, this man is not a sane person, anarchist rebel is the closest world I could use to describe him, he will initiate a nuclear strike and not play any waiting games with your country

In any case if you are satisfied with the abysmal state of affairs with insecurity from the North. China has abandoned you in 2001 during the Kargil conflict, this coming from your all weather friend. Bush openly backed India when there was talk of war during 26/11 attacks. We were quite restrained and still believe that cooperation is the best route for both our country's. We do not chose our neighbours. Your country has lost its allurement as it had with China during the last 5-6 years. As India broke the string of pearls by covertly bringing a pro-India government in Sri Lanka, and by breaking the Mauritius and Schylens Islands. We have also cornered China by providing the hydrogen bomb technology,Brahmos Agni 3,4,5 technology to Vietnam, South Korea and Japan. Now China has come to the table with India, as is quite apparent with recent announcements of change in neutrality stance on terrorism by China. China has no ways escaping the Malaca dilemma, the axis is broken now forever there will complete dependence on India. Also as you understand that our navy is capable of sanctioning your country quite easily thus any hope of China passing its energy needs through your port has become bleak. They also understand that we can block the road route between your two countries very easily. The alliance coupled with the lost lustre of China due to declining growth rates and ageing population has made it rethink about its geopolitical ambitions, By 2050 it is estimated that China will be older than the median American age, they are a dying race. This brings me to the reason why I believe there is no hope for your country other than through India.

Balochistan is not disputed territory, and no UN resolution exists on it. It is an internationally recognized part of Pakistan. Ditto Sindh. And in the last 7 decades no Indian government has ever made any pretense that Balochistan and Sindh are uncompleted issues from the Partition or that India is a stakeholder in these provinces. Indian governments have always accepted Pakistan as a stakeholder in Kashmir and negotiate with Pakistan over it but not Balochistan or Sindh. India had asked the UN to get a resolution on Kashmir and Nehru had repeatedly in writing promised a plebiscite. And no amount of repression on your part can quash the Kashmiri people's aspiration to join Pakistan, despite all your rantings about Pakistan having a gloomy future or being a pawn. Don't forget that it was India who buckled under American pressure to pull out of the Iranian gas pipeline project. And if you think there is going to be American sanctions or a war with Iran then you have no business posting here.

Your country has become a pawn in the Chinese chess board, have the courage to admit it. Remember the consequences of be used as a pawn by the US. India does not play by any country's rules, it daringly disobeyed the Iran sanctions and got its oil through its currency, it never plays by American or Russian rules. Your country which was once a part of the Asoka's empire that went all the way to Egypt is today at the mercy of Jihadis from Afghanistan and future possible sanctions from America and all out war with Iran, secession which your government officiated Kashmiri land to China. Your future is gloomy unless your country becomes partners with India which always had your back even after partition, gandhi though illegally provided 2 crores of Indian money which is 100 million dollars worth today to your country when it was at its direst period with no industrialisation. Partition has been sour in India, it was the personal ambitions of Nehru that otherwise could have enable Pakistan to becoming an autonomous State within India.

Is it not the fact that more than 100,000 Kashmiris has been killed and their women folks raped by the Indian security forces what ever their number is. I say it again that in democracies you allow people to speak their minds and display what ever flags they want to display. I see all the time some Americans display Confederate civil war flags which signify segregation to some extent in modern times but no police is there to arrest them or any one object to it. Some how you people has anathema to Pakistani flag and the country, get over it, it is going to stay.

Above all the current BJP government takes pride in propagating apartheid in some States where Moslems Students are to wear green color uniforms while the Hindus Safron ( orange-yellow). In true democracies the people has the right to carry any flag they wish to and speak their minds but in India it is all show and public relations and nothing else.
