Failed Getaway: Cell-phone snatcher panics school

ISLAMABAD: An alleged cell-phone snatcher on Wednesday hopped a wall and entered a private school to evade capture, causing panic among students and staff. The alleged cell-phone snatcher, identified as Muhammad Habib, entered the school by scaling the boundary wall after snatching a cell phone from a pedestrian. He was later arrested by the Lohi Bher police. The incident at the American Lycetuff School in PWD Housing Society, Lohi Bher, was chased around the school by security guards. There were students in the playground when the incident occurred. Later, a police party showed up and arrested the cell-phone snatcher, who hails from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Investigation Officer Muhammad Akhlaq said that the suspect was a cell-phone snatcher and a drug addict. He said that a robbery case has been registered against him and he will be produced before a magistrate on Thursday for physical remand.
