ATC-II judge Sohail Ikram accepted Musharraf’s medical report submitted by his counsel to justify his absence and adjourned the case till April 24.
Special Public Prosecutor Aamir Nadeem Tabish requested the court to turn down the plea as the case has been pending for a long time.
The court, however, granted an exemption for Friday’s hearing based on the retired general’s medical report.
The case is based on an FIR against the dictator registered in August 11, 2009 on the complaint of Advocate Aslam Ghumman.
The complainant had asked the police to initiate legal proceedings against Musharraf for detaining over 60 judges, including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, after the proclamation a state of emergency in the country on November 3, 2007.
