Verman was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder and detained for questioning.

The child's body was taken for post-mortem to establish the cause of death, although police told reporters that he died due to internal bleeding.

Arun Madhav | 9 years ago | Reply @Azi - i cant speak for other Indians, but I am not shy in accepting that India is very bad in social and religious harmony and there are such wicked people/systems lurking everywhere... my eyes well with tears at this brutal treatment to a 11 year old... the reason I believe is the absence of value systems in today's India. It is malice / hatred or at best indifference everywhere. Students are taught to be selfish, narrow minded and self-serving right from childhood, because making money is the be-all and end-all of life nowadays.
