ISLAMABAD: Khushhali Bank President Ghalib Nishtar on Tuesday said growing tendency of exhibitions is encouraging, and is the best tool to empower women by offering great opportunities. “Such events generate economic activity and encourage women-led businesses,” he said. Ghalib Nishtar said Khushhali Bank will fully participate and support the Islamabad Expo 2015 organised by the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI). Pakistan’s sustainable future requires significant participation by women in the economic activities and our aim is to help them flourish, he added. “My institution is committed to the development of the next generation of women entrepreneurs and business leaders and we are focusing on women micro-entrepreneurs and other neglected sectors,” he said. Empowered and financially literate women can help us attain goal of creating a socially just, democratic, and gender responsive society, said the banker.
