Targeted attack: Police constable gunned down

KARACHI: A policeman was shot dead in a targeted attack in Gulshan-e-Maymar on Sunday evening. The incident took place when a police constable identified as Arif Baig, was shot at by unidentified men in Gulshan-e-Maymar. The victim was shot multiple times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the autopsy. The constable was posted at Gabol Town police station at the time of his death. This is the second policeman to have been shot in the city in less than 24 hours. On Saturday night, a policeman identified as Syed Hassan Shah, 50, was shot dead by unidentified men within the limits of the Boat Basin police station. The police said that a case had been registered.
