LAHORE:

Pakistan Peoples Party workers have left for Larkana on two bogies and as many buses for the death anniversary of the party’s founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a PPP leader said on Friday.

“We have sent workers to attend the anniversary, although there are reports that the ceremony might not take place,” Lahore information secretary Faisal Mir said. “We were told not to send too many workers but they had already left for Larkana.”

“We have been asked not to send workers to Larkana… but they have already left for the anniversary,” another PPP office-bearer said. “Those who have left for Larkana will be disappointed if the party has not made arrangements for them.”
