Performance: Police bust 82 gangs in three months

Islamabad police on Friday claimed to have busted 82 gangs and arrested 234 gangsters so far this year.


A spokesperson said the suspects were involved in burglaries and car and bike theft.


The police also arrested 385 proclaimed offenders during the first three months of the year. They were wanted to police in murder and kidnapping cases.


Police also said that they completed investigation and submitted challans of 936 cases in respective courts during this period. “Likewise, eight cases of blind murders were traced and 12 suspected assassins were arrested. Police nabbed 21 foreigners residing in the country illegally and registered cases against them,” said the press release.
