PESHAWAR:

The husband of a woman gunned down last month has urged IGP Nasir Khan Durrani to arrest her murderers.

Speaking to the media at Peshawar Press Club on Friday, Arsala Khan, a resident of Kaliyas village, Charsadda, said it has been a month since his wife Yasmeen Bibi was gunned down by their sons in-law and despite registering an FIR, the police has done little to arrest the accused.

Arsala said his son Khan Zeb’s father-in-law Inayat and brother-in-law Azmat had barged into their house and opened fire on Yasmeen, killing her on the spot.

The despondent husband of the deceased said the accused belong to an influential family hence area SHO Gohar Ali is reluctant to take action against them.

“I am a daily wage earner who has no enmity with anyone,” he said, adding the murderers are roaming around freely, threatening his family of dire consequences.
