Facilitating Farmers: Model cattle market inaugurated

The chief minister said that there would be no fee or tax on sale and purchase of cattle at this market.

SHEIKHUPURA: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated a model cattle market set up at a cost of Rs278.6 million on Thursday. Talking to newsmen after inaugurating the market, he said the government was taking steps to provide relief to the people. He said the model market was designed to end the monopoly of contractors and facilitate farmers and cattle dealers. The chief minister said that there would be no fee or tax on sale and purchase of cattle at this market. “This will provide relief to the farming community,” he said.  He said banking facilities, a mosque, a hospital, parking facilities, hotels and residences would be available at the model market. The chief minister said the model would be replicated in all districts of the province.
