PESHAWAR:


A proclaimed offender and terrorist wanted for several encounters and attacks on the police was killed in exchange of fire with Paharipura police in Pakha Ghulam village near Northern Bypass Monday morning.


Police said they were informed about the presence of robbers near Northern Bypass after which a contingent was dispatched to arrest them.


Once there, three robbers opened fire at the police team, which retaliated and killed Mamoor Shah while two others managed to escape.


Shah was a resident of Bhudu Samarbagh village and wanted for his involvement in the killing of three policemen in the same area during an encounter.


He was also said to be involved in several attacks on the police over the years.
