KARACHI: This month is turning out to be quite eventful for the Pakistani entertainment industry, with our celebrities making appearances at fashion weeks, premieres, trailer releases and what not.

The release of new music, clothing lines and movies no doubt have their appeal, but the looks celebrities sport at the red carpets and launches are not too far behind when it comes to grabbing public interest.

Here’s a look at the top fashion moments of this month:

1.      Mahira Khan at Ho Mann Jahan trailer launch

 

The actress who catapulted to fame with HUM TV serial Humsafar, Mahira Khan sure is going places. Earlier this week the cast and crew of Ho Mann Jahan met the press at Frere Hall Karachi to promote the film. It is said that you can never go wrong with red and black, and Mahira was no exception as she rocked the event in a red Elan Skirt and a black t-shirt from Mango. Complementing the already perfect combination were Mahira’s black heels and a rather sparkly clutch hanging across her shoulder.

2.      Fawad Khan Spotted in Doha



How is it possible to look so hot in whatever you wear? Earlier last month, Pakistan’s heartthrob was spotted at Doha airport looking every bit the strikingly handsome stud that he is. Mahira Khan’s Humsafar co-star looked quite the stunner in a navy blue dress shirt, black jeans and rather eye-catching brown shoes.

3.      Maliha Lodhi at UN Secretariat



 

Fashion meets patriotism with this sequined clutch bearing the Pakistan flag sported by Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations, Maliha Lodhi, at her oath taking ceremony. Her sense of style caught the eye of all fashion critics and even the UN Secretary General could not help extending his compliments at her eye-catching clutch.

 4.      Sheheryar Munawar at Ho Mann Jahan trailer release



Shahriyar Munawwar won our hearts with his depiction of Arooj in HUM TV’s Mere Dard ko Jo Zuban Miley, and after spotting him at the Ho Mann Jahan press meet-up at Frere Hall it’s easy to see why. Shahriyar looked absolutely adorable in a Sufi-inspired printed jacket in hues of bronze and silver, with a scruffy beard to complete the boy-next-door look.

5.      Sabeeka Imam at the premiere of Jalaibee



There are very few people who can carry off shocking pink and green, and you can definitely count Sabeeka Imam among that list! Spotted at the premiere of Jalaibee in Karachi, Sabeeka Imam looked radiant in this Sana Safinaz piece complete with an embellished black clutch and a belt around the waist.
