Deadly ambush: Intelligence officer gunned down

The injured official was taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where he died of excessive blood loss.

MANSEHRA: Unidentified gunmen killed an intelligence officer in a remote village of Oghi, police said on Tuesday. They shared that Havaldar Ali Akbar, the son of Muhammad Din, was serving Military Intelligence in the area where he was targeted. While on routine duty at Rasheeda village, unidentified assailants ambushed the victim and gunned him down before fleeing. The injured official was taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where he died of excessive blood loss. Hospital sources said Akbar suffered five bullet wounds to the torso and head. Police and security forces launched a search operation in the area and arrested some suspects.
