Police official shot dead in Karachi

Police says the motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained but it is believed to be a case of personal enmity

KARACHI: Unidentified armed men shot dead on Saturday an assistant sub inspector (ASI) outside his house in Baldia area of Karachi.

“ASI Ali Ahmed had just returned home from duty when armed men shot at him,” police said.

The assailants also took the ASI’s motorcycle with them.

Police said the motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained but it is believed to be a case of personal enmity. However, further investigations are underway.

Ahmed’s body has been shifted to Civil Hospital.
