Sindh government offices to be closed Saturdays

KARACHI: In a bid to save electricity, the Sindh government has declared every Saturday a public holiday with immediate effect.

According to a government notification issued on Friday, office timings from Monday to Thursday will be 9 am to 5 pm with a 30-minute break for prayers and lunch. The office timings for Friday will also be from 9 am to 5 pm with a 90-minute break for prayers and lunch from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

The re-scheduling of office timings will be applicable for all offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government.
