Registration fee: E&T tells MPA to pay up

The lawmaker then paid Rs450,000 registration fee and a fine for late registration.

LAHORE: A parliamentary secretary had to get his Land Cruiser registered after his car was stopped at an Excise and Taxation checkpoint in Defence on Friday.

MPA Chaudhry Asadullah’s Land Cruiser was stopped at the checkpoint. E&T officials asked him to present registration documents and found out that he had not paid the registration fee for the vehicle. They took his car to Factory Area police station. The lawmaker then paid Rs450,000 registration fee and a fine for late registration.
