The prices of natural gas should not be revised upwards as it will trigger inflation across the country

KARACHI: All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has asked the government to reopen CNG stations across Punjab after the resumption of gas supply to industrial units. “Weather has normalised in Punjab, which warrants reopening of CNG stations that had closed almost three months back,” said APCNGA Central Chairman Shuja Anwar. He said that CNG filling stations should be opened after revisiting rates so that they could continue operations. He also asked the SNGLP not to demand additional security from the owners of CNG stations and try to facilitate the industry. “CNG station owners who have not opted for the LNG should be given preference in resolution of their problems,” he demanded. According to Anwar, the prices of natural gas should not be revised upwards as it will trigger inflation across the country, leaving many industries incompetent in the international market.
