PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information Commission has signed an MoU with the Centre for Governance and Public Accountability (CGPA) to install a toll-free helpline. The service will enable citizens to assert their constitutional right to information. The MoU was signed on Friday by Chief Information Commissioner Sahibzada Muhammad Khalid and CGPA Executive Director Muhammad Anwar. According to the agreement, the CGPA will establish the helpline at the RTI Commission. It will also provide financial help and assistance in capacity-building. The CGPA will appoint a helpline facilitator and provide the hardware required for this project. The MoU has been signed for an initial period of eleven months from the time the project commences.
