“The delegation will try to expand on investment opportunities that German companies can undertake in the power and tourism sector in G-B, to help build the infrastructure of the region,” Wazir Shakil, the Provincial Minister for Law, Planning and Water and Power, said.
He said that the Chief Minister Mehdi Shah will be heading the delegation to Germany- a country that has contributed significantly in the past to Pakistan’s rural development.
The delegation will brief the German parliamentarians about the potential that the region has in these sectors.
Wazir Shakil said that the delegation, comprising of seven parliamentarians, will leave G-B during the first week of this month.
“The G-B delegation will be briefed by the officials about various projects currently in progress,” he said.
The seven-day visit is being arranged by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme.
