KARACHI:

Reacting to the case, the MQM Rabita Committee said legal and constitutional experts of the party are examining the case and will draft a legal framework accordingly.

“Our legal and constitutional experts are examining the case and we will take a legal course of action only after that,” said the Rabita Committee in a press statement.

“The accusations levelled against the MQM chief are not true,” it said, adding that the allegations against Altaf Hussain are contrary to the facts, as he appealed to the workers to remain peaceful following the raid on Nine-Zero.

Meanwhile, party leaders said there is nothing new in the case registered against the MQM chief as cases were registered against him in the past as well. “Cases against Altaf Hussain are nothing new, and we will face them as we have faced them in the past,” said MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

MQM leader Kishwar Zehra called it a ‘minus Altaf’ conspiracy of the law enforcement agencies. “The conspiracies to detach Altaf from the party will never succeed. They want to break us down but we are getting stronger.”
