ISLAMABAD:
The dust is yet to settle on horse-trading allegations in Senate polls, as leaderships of political parties have sent show cause notices to their MPs for voting against party discipline. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has moved an application in the ECP to de-seat Wajihuz Zaman, a member of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly of PML-N. PML-N had earlier served notice to Zaman for allegedly violating discipline before March 5th Senate polls. Sources in the ECP told The Express Tribune that the prime minister moved this application to CEC. However, it is likely that ECP will ask the prime minister to first move a reference against the speaker of KPK assembly before approaching the commission, sources said.
