Loudspeaker misuse: Lal Masjid naib khateeb booked
On January 17, the same police had registered a case against him.

The police on Friday booked the naib khateeb of Lal Masjid for misusing the loudspeaker during Friday’s sermon, said a police official. The Aabpara police registered a case against Amir Siddique under the Amplifier Act. This is the second time the police have registered a case against Siddique, the nephew of controversial Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Aziz. On January 17, the same police had registered a case against him. The official said the use of amplifier for any purpose other than azan had been prohibited in the capital since the 2013 Ashura clashes in Rawalpindi.
