KARACHI:

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan has confirmed that the board has initiated an inquiry against touring selection committee head and chief selector Moin Khan’s presence in a casino and has sought an explanation on the matter.

All kinds of rumours have been surfacing in media on Moin’s presence there ahead of the Pakistan-West Indies World Cup match in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“A Pakistani couple spotted Moin at the Casino and uploaded his picture and video on the internet and from there on it all started,” Shaharyar said while speaking to media in Lahore. “I’m worried about this matter. How he can go there when the team’s performance is so low and there is rage in the country? However, my way of handling things is different. I’ll take a decision only after knowing the real story and will first discuss this with my advisors.”
