
Hafiz Saeed, chief of Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD), the organisation banned by the UN, is also purportedly a target of terrorists.
Reports reveal that a secret meeting, chaired by TTP commander Qari Ahmed Masood and held in Mir Ali, South Waziristan, planned suicide attacks across the country during the month of Muharram, targeting mourning processions, majalis, imambargahs and important religious leaders. The Uzbek Taliban commander Qari Usman was also present at the gathering.
Police and law enforcement agencies have been directed to immediately put security on high alert across the country and take all necessary security measures.
