Contesting for seats: Forms submitted for SHCBA election

HYDERABAD: As many as 37 forms have been submitted to the election committee for the upcoming election of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Hyderabad. The forms have been submitted for six seats of office-bearers and seven of the executive council. Committee member Muhammed Irfan Kalhoro said that five forms have been received for the slot of president, three each for vice-president, general secretary, library secretary and treasurer and six for joint secretary. Fourteen lawyers have submitted forms for the council seats. The elections will be held on February 21 while the final list of the candidates after scrutiny will be displayed on February 19. The incumbent president, advocate Nisar Durrani, and general secretary advocate Ayaz Tunio are also contesting for the same positions.
